Since establishing Lucibello back in 2006, Karl-Henrik has seen how affluent travellers increasingly seek new aspirations and lifestyle goals. Under his guidance, Lucibello has met this growing need for personalised, meaningful travel experiences.
Gaining a Masters Degree in Industrial Management, Engineering, Finance and Mathematics at Stockholm’s Royal Institute of Technology, Karl-Henrik learned the importance of precision, accuracy and efficiency.
Today, as Lucibello’s Chief Executive Officer, he puts these skills, along with flair and creativity, to good use. He also appreciates the importance of confidentiality, handling the travel requirements of several Forbes 500 clients with absolute discretion.
A. I love to travel, so why not work doing what you love? Seriously, as a discerning traveller, I found that conventional travel agents failed to treat me as an individual... they only offered ‘off-the-shelf’ travel plans. So I decided to set up a new venture... a travel consultancy that really gets to know its clients and creates unique experiences designed specifically for them.
A. Much more than that... a tailor-made lifestyle. To me, Lucibello is a philosophy as much as a travel enterprise. My dream is to help our clients share the emotions that I enjoy when I eat and drink with the locals, getting under the skin of an iconic destination. I’m a demanding guest with a hectic travel schedule that takes me to many sought-after global events... these personal journeys underpin my mission to give Lucibello clients fulfilling, life-affirming travel experiences.
A. Very well. Our clients appreciate the way we seek out the world’s very best hotels then enhance each visit by adding personalised extras that make the experience truly unique. Over the years, Lucibello has built direct relationships with the owners and senior managers of these hotels, allowing us to make direct reservations, rather than rely on computerised systems. As a result, our clients receive enhanced personalised service. And because I live the same lifestyle as Lucibello’s clients, I can make recommendations based on real, first-hand knowledge.
A. It was a natural progression from our personalised travel service. A few of our regular clients asked us to create wedding celebrations in elegant locations so we expanded our offer. We now create fantastic events totally tailor-made to our clients’ wishes.
A. Importantly, that affluent travellers increasingly seek new aspirations and lifestyle goals. They demand more meaningful experiences, as ostentatious luxury no longer satisfies. Worldly and well travelled, with an appreciation of experiences that add lustre to luxury, Justine is able to put herself in the position of Lucibello’s clients. She understands that ostentatious luxury no longer satisfies.
Justine speaks several languages and she has a Masters Degree in Business, Economics, Marketing and Management from Stockholm University. Her A-Graded Masters thesis studied the subject of ‘Customer Satisfaction in Luxury Experiental Travel’.
Combining her academic qualifications with her love of stylish globetrotting, Justine is well equipped to curate memorable travel experiences for Lucibello’s select band of discerning clients.
A. Like Karl-Henrik, I’m an avid traveller and I’m always thrilled by the prospect of discovering and sharing my experiences of new destinations. In particular, I relish the task of matching people with places. It’s immensely satisfying to find destinations and resorts that exactly meet the needs of a particular client.
A. Arranging a special event such as a wedding, anniversary celebration or visit to a major sports tournament can be quite complex. I need to consider every detail, coordinating many features of the client experience. Fortunately, I enjoy getting to grips with the fine details of travel planning.
A. I work hard to understand the individual needs of family members. For mums and teenage daughters I might organise a ‘fashionista extravaganza’ featuring a visit to Milan during Fashion Week, with invitations to the top runway shows. For kids, I arrange VIP membership of resort kids’ clubs with plenty of special surprises. I aim to exceed the expectations of each family member, from toddlers to granddads.
A. It depends! To me, variety is the spice of lifestyles. I love the contrast between different places at different times of year. Sometimes I crave a busy weekend in Paris or London, other times I yearn to laze on an Indian Ocean beach and occasionally I simply want to hike in the beautiful Swiss Alps. Talking to Lucibello clients, I know that they also appreciate these diverse opportunities.
A. There isn’t one. One day I might be arranging for an international rock star to perform at a client’s birthday party in front of a few hundred guests, another day I might be booking a private jet to whisk a family to the Caribbean and on another day I might be talking to a client about the most fabulous island resort in the Maldives – a place I visited the previous week.
